Mix the colorant and developer in a 1:1 ratio. Apply mixture evenly to dry hair, starting from roots working your way down ends. Leave on for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Shampoo condition as usual. For best results, do not wash hair 48 hours after coloring.
