Founded in 1889, Lanvin is considered to be one of the oldest French couture houses. Following the birth of her daughter Marguerite in 1897, Jeanne Lanvin drew on her maternal love as a powerful source of inspiration. Lanvin blue, the bow, daisy and woman-and-child logo became codes in their own right.
